2014 Event

Our 2014 day was blessed with incredible weather, with the only possible complaint being that it got rather hot for September!

One of the highlights of the day, was the use of Mulligan balloons. For £10, you were able to purchase a “Mulligan” and take your shot again. It helped to raise over £800 for our day!

We also had fantastic support from a number of key sponsors: –

The Denness Luckhurst Team

Our day was very much about the siblings of Mike and Brian working hard, as they would have done, to make it a hugely enjoyable and successful day. With that in mind, we’re confident that they would have been proud to see both sets of children and their grandchildren, coming together in their memories.

Of course it was hard work, but the team worked fantastically well together and everyone is looking forward to doing an even better job in 2015.

Some thoughts from our three charities: –

Judy Polkinhorn, Executive Director of Mercy Ships UK, “We are immensely thankful for the support of the Denness Luckhurst Foundation and would like to congratulate them on their organisation of this fantastic event – it has been truly great to be a part of it. The money raised through the hard work of this foundation will undoubtedly help to transform the lives of so many who visit our hospital ship, many of whom are in need of life-saving surgeries.”

Paul Robin, Chief Executive of the Lord’s Taverners, “We are hugely grateful to the Denness Luckhurst Foundation for their donation on the back of a great event, something we look forward to being a part of again in 2015. The money raised through all their hard work will help us to give even more disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance.”

Rochelle Hodds, Community Fundraiser, “On behalf of everyone at Saint Francis Hospice and especially the patients and their families, I would like to thank the Denness Luckhurst Foundation for the amazing donation of £5,250, which was raised at your golf day. It was a truly wonderful day, the setting, the weather, the players – it could not have been better! You all worked so hard to make it the great success it was – we felt so privileged to be part of it. And now we hear you are going to do it again, we couldn’t be happier!”

Our day was such a success, which was as a result of the fantastic support that we had from our teams, sponsors and celebrities. A huge thank you from us all at the Denness Luckhurst Foundation.
